Materials & Process

I directly source from miners the inlay stones from all around Colorado and the American West. Then, in my home studio in Boulder Colorado, I trim, shape, and polish the stone to the desired shape of the metal using a lapidary machine. Lapidary is the art of stone cutting.

To hold the stone, I use high quality recycled sterling silver .925 and 14k yellow gold. I use solid metal in all my designs as it can be reworked and polished throughout the years. For some of the silver chains and silver hoops I use Rhodium plated as it preserves the shine of the silver and prevents tarnishing.

I am committed to choosing materials that are ethically sourced and or sustainably recycled. When possible, I choose conflict- free certified natural diamonds, lab diamonds, heirloom or estate gems, recycled metals, direct from miner inlay stones, and local casting.
